AL4TW – In memoriam

George Carlin, the legendary comedian died yesterday, June 22, of heart failure. He was 71.

Best known for his “Seven Dirty Words” routine, he placed second on the list of the 10 greatest stand-up comedians. When I first saw him on Youtube, 2 or 3 months ago, I remember thinking: what a funny old man, still so young in spirit, way ahead of many others of his age with such a modern mentality… Too bad next time when I’ll watch one of his routines, I won’t be able to say he “is” great , only that he “was”…

I came up with an idea today, reading about him and his passing… I’ll post every Monday a comedian’s stand-up show, and I’ll call the series A Laugh for the Week (AL 4 TW). Hope you’ll all enjoy it…

And who could be more appropriate to start with, than:

George Carlin: Modern Man

RIP George Carlin (1937 –  2008), and thanks for the laugh!
